MISSION

All of us are better than our worst mistake—especially the ones we make as kids. Community Passageways meets Seattle youth and young adults where they are with programs and resources that give them a fair shot to succeed in life.

We do more than prevent gun violence.

Using donations, we provide comprehensive support through prevention, crisis intervention, court advocacy, and successful reentry—diverting over 400 years of possible jail time in the last five years alone.

PROGRAMS

Our work isn't about checking boxes. It's about helping youth and young adults facing the toughest challenges. We focus on intervention, stabilization, and reintegration—meeting their needs with programs designed to help them get their lives on track.

  • Group of people, one man speaking, another person listening attentively, indoor setting.

    Legal System Advocacy

When a young person faces jail time, CP-FIT advocates to keep them out, and leans into family support systems.

  • Group of diverse young adults posing together during a graduation celebration, some making hand gestures and smiling at the camera.

    Intensive Intervention

When youth face the highest violence risk, Deep Dive steps in with daily engagement and mentorship from people who speak their language.

  • Four people wearing safety vests and casual clothing on a street, with cars and trees in the background, appear to be in conversation or interacting.

    School Safety

When violence spikes at school, Safe Passage makes sure kids get to class, lunch, and back home without trouble.

  • A classroom or seminar room with students seated at desks, facing a woman at the front who is speaking or presenting, with a whiteboard and a monitor in the background.

    Student Support

When students and staff are disconnected, our school-based programming offers tutoring, healing circles, behavioral support, and case management.

  • A person wearing a black ski mask and headphones, standing in front of graffiti-covered wall.

    Recovery & Homeless Outr...

When people struggle with substance use or are unhoused, Recovery Navigator Program (youth and adults) and LEAD (adults) provide immediate assistance and recovery resources.

Most importantly, we don't give up when things get hard. We understand that people aren't always going to get it right on the first try. So we show up unconditionally, with resources and support that help them go from survival mode to success.

IMPACT

311 years

of young lives saved from prison since 2017.

Maybe it’s just us, but we truly believe young people bring way more to our communities outside of prison than behind bars. That’s why we fight to get sentences reduced—so they can graduate high school, go to college, start businesses, and even join us in the fight to save more lives from the criminal justice system. Our results speak for themselves:
