Community Passageways

Through restorative justice practices we work with system-involved youth, teachers, policy makers, community members, and other stakeholders to usher peace and reconciliation into our Puget Sound communities.

In November, 2017, King County officials announced a reorganization of the juvenile detention system in order to focus on restoration, dealing with trauma, and healing. Community Passageways is proud to participate in and help lead these efforts. Check out the press coverage in the Seattle Times and The Stranger, or watch the announcement:

At Community Passageways, we have a unique, four-pronged approach to community justice:

Prevention

Keep youth on a good path. Show them new paths.

Diversion

Keep people out of the prison system.

Incarceration

Support people already in the prison system.

Re-entry

Ensure a smooth, successful integration into the community.
